Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine operates multiple convenient, patient- friendly medical centers in Cincinnati and the surrounding Tri-State area. The main location in Northern Cincinnati has become a world-renowned heath-care center for amateur and professional athletes.
This all encompassing facility features many unique qualities including: 11,000 sqft. orthopedics focused ambulatory surgery center with extended stay patient rooms, a 13,000 sqft. clinic exam space, an integrated imaging center including MRI and DEXA capabilities, a therapy/rehabilitations center, orthotics center, and a independent chiropractic office.
Design Details created an environment that integrated architectural elements within the interior space for an effective and cohesive design.
Hospital Maternity and Postpartum
To stay competitive in the market, this hospitals maternity required a facelift to the Postpartum suite and Nursery.
In the Postpartum suites a warm hospitality image was desired to replace the clinical feel of the existing space. Working with new hospital standards for flooring and cubical curtains other complimentary architectural finishes and upholstery fabrics were selected to give the space the desired feel.
In the Nursery the color palette was requested to be energetic and colorful for the staff and new parents, yet light levels were kept low to comfort newborns. Architectural finishes were selected to support the function of the space, such as rubber flooring ro reduce sound levels and solid surface countertops to assist with infection control while providing a cleanable surface.
Mayfield Clinic and Spine Institute
Throughout multiple Mayfield locations Design Details worked with the client to create a variety of functional and inviting spaces. Mayfield required an upscale interior which would reassure patients they are in the best hands in this highly competitive field. The first impression instills trust, integrity and confidence in the practice. Through the space layout, furniture selection and color scheme a comforting and serene environment constant through out there many locations.

Sleep Management Institute
A dynamic color palette was desired by the client for this location which serves as the administrative headquarters and main office as well as a clinical space for patients that are participating in sleep studies.
The design needed to create a warm environment. The sleep rooms, although clinical, were designed to be comfortable and alleviate the patient's apprehensions with the use of artwork, florals,
fine linens, and upgraded materials in the
adjacent private bathrooms.

In late 2007 this non-for-profit retirement center started planning an upgrade to their entry and community living room. Key Goals were to improve security and create a more welcoming space where residents and families could spend time.
Several small seating groups were created to provide intimate conversation areas within the larger communal space. Open and airy light filled space is supplemented with warm wood elements. Furniture and fabrics were selected along with architectural finishes to be comfortable as one would experience at home yet meet the needs of a public space that serves an aging population.
